Ayal is a first-person action-rpg game that was developed by an indie and volunteer team, aimed for funding from a publisher. I wanted to share this old project because it was carried out in parallel with my studies and it was in a way my first video game development experience in a multidisciplinary team.

CONTEXT
I worked in this project as a level designer exploiting the elements set up by the game design in different environments. At the time, we were working remotely and we met several times a year to federate the team. Unfortunately, the game never found any permanent funding and it was discontinued. The project, considered ambitious in relation to its time, was also unable to take advantage of social networks, crowdfunding either ready-to-use game engines, which did not yet exist.
Missions:
→ Designed the first three levels of the game Ayal, maps, contents (puzzles, challenges, battles…) according to the game design.
→ A principle of height map was used to generate the environment in 3D.
→ First uses of a homemade engine.
→ Some game design work also done.
