Video Game Project

In the 19th century, Charles Desmoulin is a selfish and mischievous boy who does not hesitate to destroy an enchanted world from his imagination. To punish him, the queen of the fairies Eris condemns him to watch over his own shadow which should never be detached from the light, and to cross the city of Paris to go to the famous Universal Exhibition organized by Luminos Eids (Thomas Edison). He only has one day to remove the curse forever.

About

Concept:
Third-person puzzle game where the player solves puzzles based on shadow and light to progress. The avatar’s own shadow must never separate itself from other shadows in the decor.

Core gameplays:
– Navigation
– Puzzle solving

Features:
The player has 6 different fireflies with various powers to be able to progress in the shadows of the decor.
A set of optional collectibles are spread across the levels.
A principle of white outlines has been implemented on the decorative elements allowing them to be seen in the dark.
A graphical programming principle has been developed within the engine to facilitate the work of level designers.
An introductory cinematic was produced with Benoït Allemane among the dubbers (French voice of Morgan Freeman, Baloo, etc.).
